Buttons Assembly:Intermediate layer
- Buttons available separately in packets of 10 (US$10.00)
General:
- PCB layer needs to be cleaned completely of all glue residue (Leave “Tacky” intermediate layer on)
- Button placement is imperative and needs to be precise.
- Care for alignment imperative, NOTE: glue on layer is VERY sticky, so align ONCE!
- NOTE: Button “glue layer” or “Intermediate layer” is 0.75mm thick and acts as a spacer between the button and the overlay. IF THIS LAYER IS DAMAGED (Or removed to clean or repair the buttons – or not seperated from the old overlay when dis-assembling) – you will need the intermediate layer (comes complete with set of buttons already placed in position) or the overlay will not have the strength to stick to the PCB and the buttons will gradually press the overlay away and seperate the overlay from the PCB layer. The “Intermediate layer” has the dual utilty of encapsulating the buttons in proper place (For proper activation on the PCB) AND spacing the buttons and overlay properly.
