Keypad assessment/ review (min charge US$250.00)

General:
- Keypad wrapped, and sent in for repair and assessment by client, please notify keypad@kdm20g.com of details.
- On receipt, confirmation of receipt is sent, and Job number assigned.
- Initial assessment made and assigned into one of two categories. (Working properly(Refurbish only)/ Not working at all(assess/ troubleshoot))
- Working models will be opened, cleaned and quoted for refurbished or replacement parts. Once approved, work will commence and once complete will be wrapped, anti-static bag and boxed for returning. Payment prior to shipping.
- Non-working models will go through troubleshooting to asses if component failure (wiring/ LCD/ Button PCB) and repaired using the necessary components. If the failure is in the Graphics card then no repair able to be conducted and keypad is scrapped. Scrap value will be apportioned to the recovered parts ($10/ LCD screen;$10 for Eurofast connector; $40 for housing) and repaid to client, or credited against new or refurbished unit sold.
NOTE:
- Cleaning and refurbishment utilises appropriate cleaning processes and chemicals, in the course of some cleaning – internal issues are exposed and there have been cases where keypads that initially tested good become inoperable and need to be scrapped. This is unfortunate and sometimes confronting (price wise) Utmost care is taken in all aspects of the refurbishment process and KDM20G and its employees cannot guarantee at any stage the Keypad will make it through the process. However, all keypads that have gone through the process have not failed later as yet!
